Cássio Diniz Santiago is a performance artist, theater and dance director, dramaturg, researcher and teacher. Born on May 28, 1973, in São Paulo, Brazil. Bachelor in Performing Arts at the State University of Campinas, Brazil. From 2017 to 2019, he attended the MA Choreography and Performance at Giessen University in Germany. He worked in Brazil, Germany, Finland, Sweden, France, Belgium, Spain, and Portugal. His performance, theater, dance, and multidisciplinary art projects have been presented at São Paulo Biennial, Modern Art Museum of São Paulo, Baltic Circle Internacional Theatre Festival, Akademie der Künste, Kunstlerhaus Mousonturm, Sesc SP, among other venues. In 2015 and 2016, he was an Art, Science and Business resident fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, using Performance Art as a research tool in the field of Economy. His teaching responsibilities include Institut für Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft - Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen in Germany, Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts in Sweden, São Paulo Museum of Modern Art, SP Drama School – Development Center for Stage Arts and Célia Helena Center for Arts and Education in São Paulo and Uniarts Helsinki’s Theater Academy in Finland. He also worked as a curator and co-organizer of multidisciplinary art projects like FinLaLaLa and Kafkamachine. Several theses were written about his work, also documentaries and artworks were made based on his work. Since 2017, lives and works in Germany.
